Normally, you can set text opacity in Ren’Py with the alpha text tag:
"Normal text, {alpha=0.5}half-transparent text{/alpha}."
To set the opacity as part of a color, use an eight-digit hexadecimal color in #rrggbbaa format.
The first six digits specify the red, green, and blue values; the final two digits specify the alpha channel.
For example, 80 sets the color’s alpha to approximately 50% opacity:

The alpha value ranges from 00 (fully transparent) to ff (fully opaque).
